Welcome to Our Family

A child needs care, attention and love in order to prosper and become into a responsible citizen of a country. At DIS we believe in imparting education which will not only help your child’s academic growth but will also prepare him for the various challenges put forward by life. We ensure the physical and psychological safety of every child.

Individual talents of the children are nourished and celebrated here, thus enabling them to reach fruition. At the Daffodil International School we encourage individual self-discovery and self-expression that values honesty and civility among all members of the school community.

School Philosophy

Whilst high academic achievement is a priority, the school aims to create a ‘community’ of well rounded individuals, where a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect exists among the students and teachers. The school organizes many activities throughout the year where qualities such as leadership and self-discipline are inculcated and there is an emphasis on the individual’s intellectual and emotional growth. The senior students participate in awareness programs and also participate in various national level competitions related to both academics as well as extracurricular activities . A number of sports are played in the school and give the students an opportunity to express their individual talent. Drama, Performing Arts, Arts and Design, Debating and Music form a significant part of the regular school activities.

Academic Programs

In classes XI and XII students prepare for the Advanced Level Cambridge International Examination [CIE] conducted by the division of Cambridge Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge. The school offers 10 different subject choices at the Elective level along with Advanced Subsidiary [AS] level English as a compulsory subject. Each student is required to take three to four elective subjects along with English. The students follow a two year staged progression for grades 11 and 12. Students have to take a ‘staged’ assessment route –they take the Cambridge International AS Level in one examination series and complete the final Cambridge International A Levels in the next series.
