At DIS we offer the CIE curriculum with a broad range of internationally recognized qualifications.

The Cambridge International Education for 5–19 year old is divided up into four stages:

Nursery and Pre-Prep

This section consists of Playgroup, Junior KG and Senior KG. Each classroom is staffed by a full time teacher and has two nursery nurses in common.

Eligibility criteria Nursery : The child should complete 3 years on or before 30 September 2020.

Communication with parents is vital for continued progress. Parent consultation meetings take place three times a year and a written report is produced at the end of each term. Teachers are always available to see parents at the beginning and end of the school day.

Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP)

The CIPP curriculum of DIS is based on the ideas, theories and practices prevalent internationally. It is a comprehensive provision for teaching, learning and assessment in the core subjects for children aged between 6 to 11 years.(Grade 1 to 5)

Eligibility criteria Gr.1 : The child should complete 6 years on or before 30 September 2020.

The Primary Programme covers the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy and scientific inquiry while covering a good knowledge base. While at the periphery, the students receive instruction in national and foreign languages, Information technology and creative art, thus completing the continuum of holistic development.

Cambridge Checkpoint

The Secondary 1/Checkpoint curriculum at DIS provides natural progression from Cambridge Primary and develops children’s knowledge and skills in Mathematics, English and Science. Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme is part of the Cambridge Secondary 1 stage. Cambridge Secondary 1 offers a curriculum framework for educational success for learners, typically for 11-14 years old.(Grade 6 to 8)

We offer the core subjects – English, Math and Science as per the curriculum framework given by the CIE. Checkpoint text books recommended by CIE are used for the purpose. Students’ language skills are further enriched through training in national and foreign languages. The Social Studies are also taught, the emphasis is on developing students’ understanding of their environment and deepening their reverence for rich geographical wealth and the glorious historical heritage of our country. There is a gradually progression into the study of world history and global geography with emphasis on developing worldview of students and intensifying the understanding of his role in the world at large. Students are further equipped with technical skills through the study of Information and Communication Technology. Cambridge Checkpoint tests are taken at the end of Cambridge Secondary 1. It is an innovative new diagnostic testing service marked by CIE. It provides schools with an external international benchmark for student performance.

Cambridge IGCSE

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14–16 years old. (Grade 9 and 10) It develops students’ skills in creative thinking, inquiry and problem solving, and gives them excellent preparation for the next stage in their education. We offer a combination of subjects catering to the Science and Commerce streams. Each subject is certificated separately, offering a variety of routes for learners of different abilities. It is used as a preparation for A Level courses. In DIS we offer Minimum 5 and maximum 7 sbject chocie.

Cambridge International A Levels

Cambridge International A Levels offered at DIS for Grade 11 and 12 are a part of the Cambridge Advanced stage. They are internationally benchmarked qualifications providing excellent preparation for university education. We, at DIS, offer students personalized subject choice combinations based on personal inclinations and aptitude related to current market trends and career ambitions. We offer subjects in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. The flexibility of subject combinations and its International significance makes it popular amongst the learners. In DIS we offer minimum 3 and maximum 5 subject choice.
